Markings : Version #159
Markings
While any Li'uhn can have striping, spotting, tabby effects, siamese gradient, and lighter underbellies and darker backs, brindling and other simple markings, some genes give them extra special markings!
Uncommon
Leopard
Creates rosettes and spots on the wings and tail of the Li'uhn. Can also create subtle rosettes on their body as well.
Mica
Creates a subtle pale, shimmery effect on the wings. The trimming can also take on this shimmering property. Should be a lighter shade of the color beneath it. Can not effect the body.Inherited from Stoneclaws that have it.
Strata
Creates banded markings on the limbs, in shades of the main body. Trimming can appear in the bands without needing Extended Markings. Resembles the banding found in canyons and geologic strata.
Can be up to 4 shades.
Free for Stoneclaws, can be inherited on other types by breeding with Stoneclaws
Bubble
Creates bubble like markings on the Li'uhn's tail and wings. Can appear on any Seaborn without needing any upgrades. Can be inherited from Seaborn that have it.
Zephyr
Soft swirls across the wings, with soft specks here and there like dust caught in eddies of air
Tuxedo
The belly can turn white, or a large white patch around the throat and belly with white socks on the hands and feet and a white blaze on the face, like a tuxedo cat.
Hawk
Creates banding like what is found on the wings of a hawk all along the feathers, darker than the color beneath.
Comes free with the Earth color morph.
Tricolor
Allows up to three natural colors to appear on the body and frill of a Li'uhn. This only effects the body.
For example, a black and tan look with the body black and the belly brown with a patch of sandy tan on the chest, or three colors like a tricolor collie.
Despite being named Tricolor, it doesn't require three different colors, but should have at least two.
These colors should be natural/earthy, such as brown, grey, earthy orange, earthy red, mahogany, terracotta, and similar.
This marking can be effected by Extended Markings, making the markings on the Li'uhn match the base color of the wings.
Rare
Extended Markings
Extends the color of the trimming onto markings on the Li'uhn's body
Face Markings
Inherited from Stoneclaws.
Extended markings that can appear on the face, matching with the trimming. Can appear on the frill as well.
Star
Gets the Star or crescent moon mark from the Nightkin onto another Li'uhn type. Matches the trimming in coloration. Can be inherited from Nightkin.
Eyespots
Creates eyespots like the eyespots found on moths and butterflies. Can also create peacock like eyespots on the feathers.
Ripple
Creates ripple like markings lighter than the color beneath it.
Free on Seaborn, can be inherited from seaborn on other types.
Marble
A rare marking that creates swirling striping patterns similar to a bengal cat or a marble tabby, which can be two toned, on the wings and/or body of the Li'uhn. Should follow the usual marking/color rules on whatever part of the Li'uhn it is on. The Trimming can follow the edges of this marking.
Dove
Creates an iridescent shimmer that can have up to three complementary colors around the neck, on the mane, and along the wings, like the flash of color pigeons have.
Mythic
Glyphs
The gold of a Li'uhn's trimming can take on glyph shapes along the tail. This can be in various shapes together. It can also take a Runic inspiration.
Atlantian
Creates unique patterns on the wings and tail. Generally swirls and squared swirls. (Examples coming soon)
